While Lyrical Lark encapsulates Lily’s music compositions she has also extended her creativity into making experimental visual art.

Lily Fowler (b.2000) is a music composer, vocalist, and visual artist based in Sydney, Australia who specialises in the hybrid genre in both her music and art. Throughout her studies at the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and Music, Lily has produced a wide variety of artworks that explore themes of the digital sublime and human experience inspired by the designs of video game worlds. Her practice includes constructing immersive experiences for the individual using in-game photography, text, and original music. Eccentric artists of experimental technology such as Pipilotti Rist and Hito Steryl have greatly influenced Lily’s artmaking, embracing the expansion into the digital world by highlighting the importance of viewer interaction. Notable works that portray sublime aesthetics found in video games are Lily’s “Serene Screens: Genshin Impact the Videogame (2022)”, “Pandemic Vignettes (2020)” and “Celebrity Substitutes (2019)”. Aspiring to recontextualise the stigmas of videogame content through her music and photography, Lily’s journey as an artist finds fulfilment in creating original works motivated by her emotional experience as a player.
